Gault Davison recently received notification from the Michigan State Tax Commission that it had successfully secured an Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption Certificate for one of its clients in the amount of $6,210,000.00. The client constructed a new state of the art manufacturing facility. By securing this Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption Certificate, the client is now entitled to an exemption from ad valorem real and personal property taxes for a period of up to ten years. That exemption will result in a savings to the client of approximately 50 percent of the property tax which would otherwise have been payable during this time period.
